• Mom wants to be at home but is unable to live alone in her house. Mountain Vista has provided a place for her to still be independent and cared for. It has made us know she is safe and being watched over by caring individuals since we can’t be there. – J.F.
•Without Mountain Vista I would have to be in a nursing home since I have no immediate family. They bring breakfast several times a week, remove my garbage, do light maintenance in my apartment and check regularly on me. – M.S.
• Mountain Vista allows my parents to be able to be together with the help of my brother. They provide a home atmosphere and allow us not have my parents in a nursing home. They give me peace of mind that there is someone available to help out when needed with a safe and secure atmosphere. – E.P.
• Having a safe and secure environment brings peace of mind to distant family members. Maintenance and safety issues are resolved quickly. Social and emotional support offer encouragement and build confidence. – G.F.
• We had attempted to locate a facility in another Wyoming community where Mom had lived for many years. There was nothing available there that even began to compare to what Mountain Vista offered in terms of the ability to live independently, with some support or with access to the nursing home. Mom’s house was rapidly becoming more than she was able to handle safely. The ability to have a place that is so homelike, but still supportive, is a priceless “gift.” – M.W.
• Mountain Vista allows me and my parents to live in a warm and caring environment that is secure and stress-free. We have people looking out for us. With Mountain Vista’s services and support, my parents would be in a nursing home, as I could not take care of them. Mountain Vista also provided direct access to nursing care for “respite” services that are needed for my own health and well-being. – W.S.
• We are like a family and have breakfast twice a week, lunch together once or twice a month, celebrate birthdays, have transportation for our appointments and shopping. The health nurse comes once each month to take our vital signs and we have security at the door. Just knowing I have access to all these things gives me a very secure and comfortable feeling which pleases my family. We have a very caring and great administrator and maintenance person to help make it all happen. – L.H.
• Mountain Vista is a gift to my family because both of my sons feel secure in the knowledge that I am in a situation where my immediate needs will be met, along with the friendship and care shown by the staff and other residents. – J.L.
• I’ve been living fairly independently and needed few of the services offered by Mountain Vista. But during the past year my physical health has deteriorated and I can forsee the time when I will require some of additional services, such as transportation and access to a library. I feel I am fortunate to have found living quarters that allow me not to depend too heavily on my family. – H.M.
